I had dreamed of my own business all my life. With no starting capital, no investors ā just me, my hands, and enormous stubbornness. After many long years, I managed to open my own small grocery store.
My employees are the kindest people, proven over the years. Together we survived crises, power outages, and difficult customers. I considered them not just colleagues ā they became part of my family.
But suddenly strange things began to happen.
At first, I noticed that every day several bananas disappeared. Then ā apples, pears, mangoes. It was as if someone intentionally chose the ripest and tastiest ones. I thought ā a mistake in the warehouse. Then ā an accounting error. But no. The disappearance of products became systematic. With each passing day ā more and more.
I talked to the guys, but they all swore they hadnāt taken anything. They spoke convincingly. So much so that I began to doubt ā maybe I was mistaken? Maybe I was forgetting something?
But one day my patience snapped. In the evening, when the store closed, I installed a hidden camera. I didnāt tell anyone ā not even my best salesperson. I wanted to learn the truth.
The next morning I watched the recording. And I almost dropped my phone in shock. I thought my employees were stealing products, but the truth turned out to be much more shocking š±š±

On the screen, it is clearly visible how through the back door, which someone apparently forgot to close properly, someone carefully enters⦠a monkey. Yes, yes, a real one ā fluffy, with expressive eyes and a tail like an acrobatās.
She was clearly not a random guest. First she peeked inside, making sure that no one was in the store. Then she quietly slipped to the fruit section and began carefully choosing ā like a true gourmet.
First she broke off a banana, sniffed it, didnāt like it ā tossed it aside. Then she found a peach, sat right between the boxes and began eating it carefully.
When one of the employees walked by, she quickly hid behind a box, froze, as if playing hide-and-seek. And then, waiting until she was alone again, continued her tasting.
On the recording she ate:
ā two bananas,
ā half a pineapple (yes, she scraped it out with her claws!),
ā an avocado (bit it and tossed it ā not to her taste),
ā and pears ā that was true love.
I watched the recording over and over again. First ā in complete shock.
Then ā with a slight smile. And then I couldnāt hold it in and laughed.
This cheeky creature had been pulling off āraidsā almost every day, and we didnāt suspect a thing.
The next day I came earlier than usual and stood by the back entrance.
And you know what? She came. Confidently, without any embarrassment, as if coming home.
She stopped, looked at me⦠and seemed to frown.
I held out a banana to her.
From that moment on, not only do I have a store and an amazing team, but also⦠a monkey named Fru-Fru.
We made a deal ā she doesnāt steal anything anymore, and every day I leave her a few fruits.
